We have a really exciting new dehumidifier at Meaco that once again moves the market forward and creates a whole new benchmark for the sector.
We did this in 2014 with the introduction of the Meaco 12L Low Energy dehumidifier and the Meaco 20L Low Energy Dehumidifier and the birth of the exclusive Platinum Range. These machines were important because they use so much less energy than other brand’s dehumidifiers and they proved that you can have a dehumidifier at a sensible price that has a superior build quality and uses a fraction of the energy of other cheaper machines.
They were also the first dehumidifiers to use a full true HEPA filter.
This year we have already launched the DD8L Zambezi to rave reviews which broke new ground for a desiccant dehumidifier with six world firsts and a host of consumer driven cool features.
Now in March we have a new compressor dehumidifier that collects water even more cheaply that the Meaco 20L Low Energy dehumidifier that has topped the Which? Best Buy table for the past two years. Once again we are moving things forward with regard to the energy consumption and interesting features to help consumers.
The new dehumidifier is the Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer which we see as being a real alternative to a tumble dryer and is the first dehumidifier in Europe to benefit from a DC Motor to reduce its energy consumption.
The DC Motor is interesting and I think that you will find that most dehumidifiers will have these in 5 years’ time. Combining the DC Motor with a high specification compressor means that the harder you work the dehumidifier and the more water it collects then the less energy it uses.
So if you use the Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer in low fan speed it will actually use more electricity than if you use it in the high fan laundry mode to dry clothes!
Think of it a bit like riding a bike, you might struggle to get started but once you are up to speed and find the right gear things because easier and you travel further and faster using less energy.
The Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer has four special operating modes which I will right about in detail separately.
But if you want a dehumidifier to dry washing then look no further as this is the ‘special one’!
