We are often asked by customers what the water that a dehumidifier produces can be used for. I do have one distributor in Durban who uses it for making ice for his whiskey, but I certainly would not recommend it for that!
Common uses include watering non-edible plants, using it in the iron and pouring it straight into the bowl to flush the toilet.
Although the water is not drinkable we have managed this Christmas to do the next best thing. On a personal basis we have always sponsored children via the charity World Vision and we look to support them as often as we can. At Christmas as a company we tend to send our resellers cards and chocolates as is the norm in business. This year we decided to buy clean water from World Vision instead of the chocolates and have donated multiple gifts of the clean water on behalf of ourselves and our resellers.
It seems like an appropriate thing for a dehumidifier company to do and this is the sort of charitable support that we aim to do more of in the future.
