Quiet Mark is an independent organisation associated with the UK Noise Abatement Society. They identify, test and certify the quietest products on the market with the aim of encouraging companies worldwide to prioritise and find solutions to noise reduction. In their latest round of testing, they have recognised the MeacoFan Sefte® Air Circulators for their exceptional performance and low noise!

Richard Wilkinson, Technical Manager at the Quiet Mark Testing Lab, emphasises the meticulous testing process involved in determining a product’s sound quality. He notes, “Cooling Fans come in several shapes and sizes, offering a wide range of modes. As well as overall decibel levels, we listen for any inconsistencies and tonalities that can easily disturb or cause annoyance for the user.”

At the Quiet Mark lab, the environment is carefully designed to replicate real-life home conditions, ensuring that products are tested in scenarios that reflect how consumers will use them. Wilkinson explains, “Our acoustic tests and sound measurements are routinely performed, supported by sound quality observations and evidence-based conclusions for each fan model tested like for like.” This comprehensive approach ensures that the assessment of each product is thorough and fair. So, what sets the MeacoFan Sefte® Air Circulators apart for a Quiet Mark accreditation? 

Firstly, both models operate at whisper-quiet noise levels whilst delivering great performance. Sefte®’s signature deep draw blades propel a powerful airflow up to 1150.80 m³ an hour and from as quiet as 25dB. That’s incredibly powerful and incredibly quiet. If a fan is creating noise levels of just 25dB but the propeller has a clicking or whistle noise, it won’t fit seamlessly into your home and Quiet Mark sets out to examine this.
