Mitsubishi Electric Dehumidifiers – Your Comments

Mitsubishi Electric dehumidifiersThe new Mitsubishi Electric of dehumidifiers range has been in the UK for around four months now so I thought that I would dip in on some of the customer reviews to see what customers have been saying about the new models.

There are three dehumidifiers in the range with the largest being the MJ-E20BG which can extract 20 litres of moisture per day.  At just shy of £400 the dehumidifier is always likely to attract negative reviews if anything is not just so.  But thankfully Mitsubishi Electric seems to be living up to their reputation for high end quality and customers describe how the dehumidifier works perfectly day in day out.

The entry level within the range is the MJ-E14CG-E1 which has a breath of features that would make it top end for any other manufacturer.  Comments from customers about this 14 litre dehumidifier include;

“Reasonably quiet, you can hear the compressor running but not annoying, we don’t notice it if it’s in the other room, or really in the same room unless you listen. It definitely helps keeps moisture off windows and bathroom tiles. We use it to dry laundry every week…..”

“Had mine for a few weeks now. At first it was on a fair bit even though I did have a old dehumidifier on. After a few days it doesn’t come on much as its reached it humidity level. Pleased its done a good job and empty the container every other day and is quite.”

“Have had an ebac 2650 (repaired twice) before but this Mitsubishi MJ-E14CG-E1 is a much better built and finished machine with more professional instructions and a good bit quieter which is important in a small house. Bought it after receiving one damaged and filthy powerpac18 from ebac followed by a defective replacement. Only had it a week but working very well no condensation on windows and dries the laundry well. Would recommend.”

Finally within the range is the MJ-E14EG-E1 which has the much talked about Moving Eye sensor which concentrates the dry air output onto the wettest laundry.  Customers seem to be delighted with the results;

“Wow where do I start with how great this machine is. Just turn it on and forget about it as the machine will do it all for you with it’s auto function. In the low setting it is a nice and quite machine so very easy to leave on (in another room) while you are sleeping. This is the third different dehumidifier that I have had in the last ten years but this is simply the best, it is drawing out about four litres of water each day. The only small issue is that the reserve tank is a little smaller than my previous machines so needs to be emptied each day although it does and the facility for a hose for constant drain if leaving unattended for periods of time.

This machine maybe a little bit more expensive that some other machines but it is well worth the extra.”

“The Mitsubishi MJ-E14EG-E1 Dehumidifier & Laundry Drier is excellent as it is quiet and our clothes now dry within a day in the laundry without any musty smell from wet clothes. The continuous draining pipe is relatively easy to fit and functions well. It is definitely worth paying the extra amount for this high quality product”

“We don’t in fact have much of a dampness problem in our house, it being only the conservatory that suffers to any notable degree. However, having considered initially a relatively cheap machine, we decided eventually to buy what appeared to be the best – and no regrets at all to date. It gives all the impressions of being well designed and well made, and it gets on with the job reasonably quietly and very efficiently.

The Move Eye (or ‘Magic Eye’ as Dio call it; not a bad alternative name in my view!) has been tried just once and it did the job well. I wouldn’t call this feature ‘essential’ but it is an interestingly novel way of drying the laundry. It is perhaps also a bit quicker at it than the non-Move-Eye model.”

It has been an interesting exercise and it has been great to see that customers are really loving these new dehumidifiers and are all saying that it has been worth paying the extra money.  The Mitsubsihi electric dehumidifiers are exclusively available from our Mitsubishi distributors www.airconcentre.co.uk and www.dry-it-out.com.
