We have noticed an upturn in business in swimming pool dehumidifiers over the last three months which has been nice. Sadly I do not think that this is an indication that Britain is moving out of the economic downturn and that consumers are spending on higher ticket items with a greater degree of confidence. It would be nice for that to be true, but I think is more likely to be the case that more and more people are realising that we have a quality range of swimming pool dehumidifiers and we are picking up a larger market share of a dehumidifier sector that is certainly smaller than it was a few years ago.
In the past we offered the D850e and the D950e dehumidifiers which are entry level, drying only, dehumidifiers made in the far east. We always realised that the swimming pool sector was rather more sophisticated than that and we needed greater flexibility and we needed the ability to offer additional heating as part of the package.
Swimming pool owners and designers tend not to want traditional radiators in the pool
The metal finish has been proving to be very popular.hall, rather they want discreet solutions whilst at the same time maintaining a temperature that is slightly higher than the water temperature. To achieve this the dehumidifier is linked to the gas boiler and the dehumidifier has a radiator inside it, this way the dehumidifier can act as as either a heater, a dehumidifier or both. This system is called low pressure, hot water or LPHW for short. The best selling example of this is the Meaco 500iLPHW.
In addition to the option of the LPHW some swimming pool owners also like to have the dehumidifier in a separate room to the swimming pool hall so that they do not have any equipment on the wall of the swimming pool. This improves the look of the room and ensures that there cannot be any contact with the dehumidifier by anyone who is in the pool hall. This is called through the wall mounting. The Meaco 300TTW is a popular example of this.
The final option that is a good idea in a swimming pool is the use of a remote humidistat. Most swimming pool dehumidifiers use a humidistat that is mounted inside the return air flow of the dehumidifier. That is fine but it is not as accurate as having the temperature and relative humidity sensor on the opposite side of the pool hall, ideally in front of any glass in the pool hall (as this is where condensation is most likely). Our wireless humidistat send s a radio signal to the dehumidifier from across the pool hall to ensure accurate dehumidification and temperature control.
Our swimming pool dehumidifiers are made in Slovakia, a country that has been heavily influenced by major car manufacturers that have their car plants there (Volkswagen, Peugeot- Citroen and Kia) and the dehumidifier factory is very highly organised and the dehumidifiers are manufactured to a very high standard. You can see Germanic influences in the build quality and to date we have been delighted with the reliability and customers have been quick to praise the quality of the finish and engineers have been eager to comment on the higher quality of the internals.
The choice of finish that we are able to offer in either white, metal or stainless steel has no doubt helped to improve our sales and many people are opting for the higher quality look of the metal dehumidifiers.
If you are looking for a swimming pool dehumidifier to either replace an old unit or for a new build then please do talk to use. We need to know the surface area of the water the pool temperature, the air temperature and whether you use a cover or not. From that information we can calculate the size of swimming pool dehumidifier that you need.
