Hello! After 4 years working perfectly(4 or 5 months a year) my Meaco 20L low energy dehumidifier start to act strange. It displays a humidity lower than the real one with about 20% (I know that normaly there are some diffrences between the humidity displayed and the real one,but this is way too strange) and it enter in defrosting mode verry often. It also dryes less than previous years and even less than a Meaco 12L low energy that I also own. For example,if I set it at 40% it works all the time and if I set it at 45%, it remain in standby mode most of the time and the rh of the room stay at 66%. Before send it in service(it’s still in waranty), I want to know if I can do something like pressing some buttons to reset the higrometer. I use it in a small room (16 square meters) at 18 to 20 celcius degrees (last years it works fine for 30 sm) and I clean the back grid regularly. Thank you!
Daniel,
Thank you for your message and your purchases. You can try to clean the humidity sensor by blasting it with a hair dryer for a couple of minutes. It is the block that looks like a piece of lego behind the filter. If that does not work then call us on 01483 234900.
