Feedback from our customers (as well as our own experience) let us know that Pedestal Air Circulators are popular and versatile… but they weren’t yet perfect.
Traditional fans often come with their share of frustrations— fiddly clicking buttons to lock in different heights, bulky or fragile plastic elements and base level sensors. At times, you’re just waiting for the dog to come crashing into the lounge, knock over the fan and break the casing, to catch your fingers in the height lock button or not being able to reach and change the fan settings over the sofa or bed. All of this can feel incredibly frustrating when all you want is a cooling breeze and a simple way to change fan speed and oscillation.
And so, we set out to design a solution that seamlessly pairs form with function. This air circulator would need to deliver electricity to the head of the air circulator, powering the blade movement as well as a new high receiver and display. It needed to be stable and lightweight so it could be easily moved to different rooms and adjusted to different heights for different activities.
Our challenge was to make our multi-award winning MeacoFan 1056P, even better.
A key part of this journey was to rework the pedestal pole and remote control receiver.
For life’s ups and downs: What is at the heart of Sefte®’s PolePower Technology?
From floor to table (and a medium height in between!), Sefte®’s exclusive pedestal design is fully adjustable, making it one of the most versatile fan designs available to buy.
Our design team examined problems around traditional pedestals and developed PowerPole technology, an innovation that ensures stability at every height and without the need for clips, cables or buttons. It is a unique lockable system of robust moulded poles, designed to be changed often and make this pedestal air circulator our tallest pedestal yet.
Power is delivered to the fan head via core rods and connectors inside the pedestal itself.
For stability and safety, and to withstand life’s many accidents and mishaps, we also had to consider the base. An important piece of engineering when you’re thinking of that dog crashing in to join the family on the sofa. Standing at 1098 cm tall at full height, Sefte® can still achieve maximum airflow around the room while staying stable when facing life’s unpredictabilities.
Effortless Adjustability, Maximum Versatility: How do you adjust the height of Sefte®?
Adjusting the height of your Sefte® Pedestal is a breeze. The unique connectors inside the pedestal transform the air circulator all the way from a full sized pedestal fan, to a medium height, then to a table fan and back again without any cables getting in the way.
It has been engineered to be intuitive and easy to adjust and re-assemble when needed. When assembling, simply line up the silver and gold connectors together and lock in by tightening the security cuffs. This really is simplicity and versatility made easy.
We’ve even made it impossible for you to connect the poles incorrectly! If you match silver to gold (instead of silver to silver) the pole will not connect, or line up and you won’t be able to secure the security cuffs either!
You don’t have to worry about getting it wrong, we’ve done all the hard work so you don’t have to.
At full height, we’ve ensured it’s tall enough to fit over even the highest of beds. Getting reliable airflow above the duvet at nighttime was a big concern of our customers and so it became a key part of our engineering journey. Your MeacoFan Sefte® Pedestal will give you a gentle breeze, all night long, even reaching across the biggest of beds!

High and mighty receiver: How did we solve the problem of the remote control?
We noticed a trend in our customer feedback and in our own observations, that using the remote control at night was not an easy task. We needed to find a solution.
The problem was that so many of us struggled to change our air circulator settings in the middle of those hot summer nights. When you’re already uncomfortable, tired, and wishing it was the middle of winter, being unable to orientate and see the remote control buttons is not ideal. You need an easy to use remote control in order to cool you down and get an undisturbed night’s sleep.
To solve this problem , we firstly made the new remote glow-in-the-dark. This means that you can now see exactly what button to press when you want to adjust the fan speed, set a timer or change the mode. There’s no more fumbling in the dark. And for those of you who cannot sleep with any light showing, when you’re finished using the remote control, simply place it button side down and you won’t see even the faintest glow of light. Same as before, we’ve made the remote control magnetic to the air circulator, making it very hard to lose!
Secondly, we had to consider the remote control receiver. In most pedestal fans, you’ll find the receiver in the base. And in the dead of night (even when you can see the buttons on the remote control!), it can be difficult to change the fan speed or adjust the oscillation…
You’re reaching for the remote, craning your neck over the bed… only to find a blanket is strewn on the floor and covers the receiver anyway. And once you get up, you’re awake until the birds start calling for sunrise.
PolePower technology has allowed us to add the display and all important receiver to the head of the fan so there’s no more fumbling in the dark. You can adjust the settings from almost anywhere at any time. Point the remote towards the fan head, roll back under the covers and back into a peaceful night’s sleep.
Plus, we’ve increased the pedestal height so the head of the air circulator clears the height of the bed every night. This means you’ll always be able to enjoy a cooling breeze in bed and it’s easier to point the remote because it’s already level to you.
