Meaco 20L Dehumidifier customer reviews

The dehumidifier that I use at home on our landing to deal with the moisture coming from the bathroom is the Meaco 20L.  I have used this at home for several years now and I honestly think that it is under-rated by consumers and resellers alike.  For me it is a brilliant dehumidifier, and until the Platinum Range came along, it was the cheapest way to extra water from the air in our range of domestic dehumidifiers.

So what do users think about the Meaco 20L?  For some reason we do not have that many reviews on our website, only 27 to date.  But of those reviews it scores 4.5/5 and we publish all reviews whether they are good or bad.  So not a bad score (although I think that it deserves higher!).

Not only do Meaco do the quietest and most effective dehumidifies on the market (I’ve had several others and none compare to the 10L or 20L Meaco) but the after sales service is always second to none. They try their best to help and keep you up to date at all times. I would recommend Meaco to anyone.

Just purchased Meaco 20l as already had a Meaco 10l which controls condensation upstairs but too small for a 3 bed house. Meaco 20l has transformed the house overnight – not as noisy as 10l !! Very pleased 🙂

Only had this for a few days and is really good. We had condensation all the way to the top of windows now the windows are clear. The delivery was very good and ordering was easy and very good.

I bought this product for my son and grandchildren. The rented house they are in has damp/condensation problems. It arrived exactly as stated and we plugged it in in the hallway. Its a 3 bedroomed big house and within 3 hours the condensation had gone from bedroom windows, back of front door and the smell was improving. The tank was over half full in 6hrs. Very pleased with how its going and so happy I saw this product.

Excellent product. Bungalow with 5 rooms. Drying washing, no fan in bathroom no ventilation when at work. I was getting mould and condensation. This has now stopped taking out 2-3L Water a day on standard setting. To make it 6 stars it would be nice to have a humidity setting dial in %.

Really pleased with this buy. Quiet, efficient and does what it says on the box.Cannot believe how much water this thing collects! Noticeable improvement in the house – no more dripping windows and warmer too.

And to balance things out here are some of the more negative reviews;

Works great took a few weeks on constant to reduce the moisture in our property, but it does a good job and we leave it on all the time as recommended and it only comes on a few times daily now . However your designer needs to have a few words with himself. container and inlet on the back so it can’t be sited near a wall and then wheels that only work sideways, come on ,sort it out you are being paid for it.

Got the Meaco 20L dehumidifier. Were very pleased with it for the first 2 weeks until it started giving us problems. Company was great and collected for repair and sent back with extra quick time. Now functioning very well and we hope it will keep up.

The advert on the web site says will handle a 5 bedroomed house?
I have a small 2 bedroomed bungalow with which i was having problems with the windows being wet,
the advert said it has a sensor to stop he dehumidifier when a pre-set humidity was attained but only stops when the water tank is full???

Note from Meaco – The dehumidifier will stop drying once the relative humidity is below the set point. It sounds as though this dehumidifier still has work to do.

If you need a dehumidifier for a 3-5 bedroom house then I would have a long hard look at the Meaco 20L as it is an excellent dehumidifier, and as I said earlier, it is my dehumidifier of choice.
