With warmer weather on the way and people being advised by the UK Government to circulate fresh air in the home and workplace, people should focus on improving indoor air ventilation. Bringing fresh air in helps replace older stale air that could contain virus particles, reducing the chances of spreading Covid-19. Opening windows alone might not be enough to improve ventilation sufficiently, especially if there’s no breeze. Using a good quality fan to consistently circulate the fresh air around, ensuring the air in the room keeps moving.
As the weather gets even hotter, getting a good night’s sleep will become a priorityand very quiet fans will become an essential item. Select one which has a Quiet Award in recognition of low noise levels, and an Off Timer so the fans will turn off after a period so that you don’t wake up cold in the middle of the night or waste electricity.
Meaco has developed a family of five highly popular award winning quiet fans, that deliver superior air circulation performance. By using DC technology this results in low noise levels, low running costs, and a longer product lifespan, making them a popular choice for use in the bedroom. Four of its five fans have already achieved the prestigious Quiet Mark accreditation in recognition of low noise levels. Independent tests have showed that the MeacoFan 1056 moves more air and moves that air further than other fans on the market and does so at a lower noise level.
MeacoFan 1056 and MeacoFan 1056 P (pedestal version)
The largest of the Meaco fans, capable of moving 1056cm³ of air per hour.
This has twelve fan speeds capable of cooling the largest of rooms.
The multi-directional oscillation ensures that cool air circulates throughout the whole room by bouncing the air off walls and ceilings, so that every part of the room and everyone in the room feels the benefits.
An ECO mode automatically changes the fan speed as the room temperature changes, providing a simple, one touch control.
Quiet Mark accreditation due to the low energy DC fan motor ensuring ultra-low noise.
At night the Off Timer will silently turn the fan off and the display light can be turned on or off as required. For help with operating the remote at night, there is a spotter lump on the down speed button to help you work out where you are on the remote in the dark.
A pedestal version was developed and built following customer demand. According to Chris Michael, MD of Meaco “customers were looking for a floor fan, as they had no spare furniture space to place the current 1056 model on. They can now use their floor space, and also have the fan above the height of objects that might otherwise have obstructed the airflow. This makes it perfect for the bedroom or a home office setup.”

One tip to get to the most out of your fan, is to open two windows, and place a MeacoFan so that it is blowing the air out of one of the windows. This sucks the hot air out of the room, while cooler fresh air comes in from the other window resulting in a significant drop in temperature in a very short time.
