UK’s Indian Summer sees MeacoFan sales soar in September

After a rather disappointing summer, with a midsummer monsoon in which the UK had its wettest August since 1912, the UK is now experiencing a pleasant “Indian Summer” of above average temperatures. The good news is that this warm Autumnal spell is forecast to last for another two weeks.

Despite the very average summer, the demand for fans was not dampened, and we saw the sale of the MeacoFan range of bedside and desktop cooling fans increase five-fold from 2018. An award winning fan described by T3 as “bloody brilliant” , and Ideal Home as a “beautiful beast”, its near silent operation and economical running cost made it a popular choice for cooling a room and helping to get a good nights’ sleep by the public. With the forecast predicting hot weather set to last into October, there is still time to buy and enjoy the benefits of a MeacoFan.

The Meaco team has also been very busy this summer with the sale of dehumidifiers. The pattern of damp, humid and hot spells has meant sales of our dehumidifier products have remained constantly high during what is traditionally a quieter period for dehumidifier purchases in the UK.  Demand has been high across our full range: from the ultra-quiet ABC range at an unbeatable entry level price, to top of the range DD8L Zambezi, a desiccant dehumidifier suitable for use in flats, 3-5 bedroom houses, garages, boats, caravans, holiday homes – in fact anywhere you have a damp problem.

So thinking ahead to colder damper autumn and winter weather, now is a good time to prepare with the purchase of a dehumidifier.
