We are very serious at Meaco about the dehumidifiers we produce having done almost nothing else since 1991. There is no point in us just following the herd and bringing average dehumidifiers to the market, if we are going to do this then we have to lead the sector and do something special.
Unfortunately dehumidifiers is such a niche sector people often do not understand and appreciate what we are doing. So it is always nice when reviewers ‘get it’ and publish information that is actually useful to the British consumer.
We were therefore excited when the Sunday Times announced that they were going to review dehumidifiers in their Driving Section of the Sunday Times Magazine and we waited to see what they would think of the DD8L Zambezi.
Reviews of the DD8L Zambezi have been fantastic to date, it has a Which? Best Buy, it was Good Housekeeping Magazine’s favourite low temperature dehumidifier and one dehumidifier expert said that it was ‘possibly the best domestic dehumidifier in the world’.
As it was the Driving section of the magazine the Sunday Times were looking at the dehumidifier from the point of view of using it in a garage to look after cars. Zambezi was always likely to be strong here as the Daily Run Timer allows customers to set the dehumidifier to turn on and off at set times each day and because it is a desiccant dehumidifier it is always likely to extract more water than a compressor dehumidifier. In fact the Sunday Times found that the DD8L Zambezi extracted more water than a rivals 20 litre compressor dehumidifier during the test.
The reviewer liked the sophisticated control panel and in the end said;
“the Zambezi stands as our best buy for keeping a garage free from damp” and gave it a 4 star review.
We are delighted that Zambezi has received another rave review because it was two years of intense product development and it has been built around customer requests and feedback. It deserves to come out on top for these reasons and the more positive publicity we can get, the more units we will sell and therefore the more money will be raised to help the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in their vital elephant conservation work.
Whether you need a dehumidifier for your garage, caravan or boat then the DD8L Zambezi should be top of your shopping list. Although most customers use them in the home and love them there too!
